Dr Louisa Waites

Dr Louisa Waites

Resident GP

Dr Waites responds quickly when our residents need a GP. Our nurses communicate daily with Dr Waites to diagnose and treat acute and chronic health concerns. This proactive approach helps maintain well-being and ensures early detection of any issues.

Medication reviews, health assessments and psychological support are regularly combined. Dr Waites has a particular passion in palliative and end of life care. The multidisciplinary team work closely together to provide the best possible care.

Caroline Bishop

Caroline Bishop

Director of Nursing

Caroline worked in the NHS for 20 years before joining Fonthill Care. In her most recent post she was responsible for the provision of all district nursing across St Albans, Hertfordshire. Managing community matrons, specialist palliative care nurses, community nurses and therapists dealing with complex health issues.

Caroline trained as a registered adult nurse at Preston University in 1995 and completed her Post Graduate Degree in District Nursing at London South Bank.

Helen Taylor

Matron

Helen qualified at the University of Hertfordshire in 1997. Her main background is in acute medical nursing with extensive experience in coronary care. Helen joined Fonthill House St Albans in 2015 and brings a wealth of clinical expertise to the nursing team.

Kelly Contreres

Kelly Contreres

Senior Sister

Kelly has 10 years nursing experience in the NHS, qualifying at Hertfordshire University in 2008. Her experience includes acute medicine, specialist nursing skills, and community nursing. Kelly has particular skills in continuing health care, chronic wound management, and advanced clinical assessment.

Olivia Kempster

Sister

Olivia graduated from Bucks New University with first class honours and has 5 years experience in care prior to qualifying. Specialising in elderly care, learning disabilities and neurological rehabilitation. Olivia has experience at the Royal Liverpool Hospital in A&E and acute trauma, and was a staff nurse at Watford General Hospital.

Mei McIvor

Physiotherapist

Mei graduated with first class honours in physiotherapy in 2007. She has extensive NHS experience, particularly in elderly care, orthopaedic and respiratory conditions. At Fonthill, Mei's focus is to maintain each resident's optimum physical function and independence.

Claire Honeywell Alton

Claire Honeywell Alton

Dietitian

Claire graduated from King's College London in Nutrition & Dietetics and is HCPC Registered. She trained at Guy's and St Thomas' and the Royal Free. Claire has experience in nutrition support, elderly care, adult food allergy, gastroenterology, diabetes, enteral feeding and cancer. She has been at Fonthill since 2015.
